AASHE Announces 50 new STARS Data Quality Certified Professionals

AASHE recently designated 50 higher education sustainability professionals from four countries as STARS Data Quality Certified Professionals. These individuals are trained to contribute to high-quality and accurate STARS assessments–either through leading a STARS assessment or serving as a reviewer on one.

Utah State U to Add 1 MW Solar Electricity

The university recently announced additions to its solar electricity portfolio that include a 500-kilowatt array on an indoor practice facility, more than 200 kilowatts on its equine center, a nearly 200-kilowatt array at its dairy facility, and more than 150 kilowatts to be added to the existing 180-kilowatt system on a parking structure.

U Georgia Offers Staff Sustainability Leadership Program

A cohort of 14 university staff completed the institution's first-ever Sustainability Leadership Program, designed to grow leaders, build community, and create positive change. In the three-part program, participants learned about a range of sustainability issues and applied solutions underway at the institution, participated in leadership and change management training, and developed and implemented projects within their area of influence.
